Share Plans
We now have two share plans available for our CSA members. The large share, which typically provides a week's supply of produce for a large family or for three or four adults, costs $30.00 per week. With a large share, you would receive 10-15 items shown on the harvest calendar each week, with the content varying by season. For example, a large share might contain: 10 tomatoes, 2 avocados, 5 # oranges, 3 lemons, green beans, squash, beets and carrots.
For smaller families, we also offer a small share, which costs $25.00 per week. With a small share, which would supply weekly produce for two adults and a child, you would receive fewer items and/or a smaller amount of an item.
We also offer either share (large or small) on a weekly or every-other-week delivery basis. There is no additional cost for this option.
There is a $20 membership fee to join.
Payment
We request that all of our members pre-pay the costs of their selected Share Plan on a quarterly basis. We ask this for two reasons:
1.We need
to have an idea of how many families to plant for.
2.We need to keep our bookkeeping and collection costs to a minimum so
that your costs are low, our CSA program remains financially viable and
our time can be spent planting, cultivating and harvesting your crops.
Four Week Trial Period
New members of the Be Wise Ranch CSA are eligible for a four-week trial period of produce deliveries. The cost of this trial period is $140 for the large share or $120 for the small share, paid in advance of the first delivery. This fee includes the $20.00 enrollment fee. If you select every-other-week deliveries, the trial period will span eight weeks. See above for each per unit cost.
Trial members: When you receive your introductory packet, the computer will generate an invoice billing you for the remaining boxes in the quarter. This is for the boxes after your last trial period box. After your trial membership for 4 boxes, your account will be on hold unless you send payment in to continue your account.
If you are pleased with the produce and our service and would like to continue with the CSA program, then we will put you on our usual quarterly delivery and payment schedule. First time members should download the CSA application and mail it to our office with your check. We will contact you within 10 days either by mail or e-mail to provide you with information about your start date and location. If you have any questions please contact our office at (760) 746-6006.
Payments on a quarterly basis are:
Weekly Deliveries
Large share - 13 weeks x $30.00/week = $390.00 (pre-paid)
Small share - 13 weeks x $25.00/week = $325.00 (pre-paid)
Every-Other-Week Deliveries
Large share - 7 weeks x $30.00/week = $210.00 (pre-paid)
Small share - 7 weeks x $25.00/week = $175.00 (pre-paid)
